Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nickolas Greene (ranked 26120 p4p, 4085 weight class) and Gunner Trigg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gunner Trigg is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nickolas Greene! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gunner Trigg! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trigg moves out of range of the body kick. Greene will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Trigg moves into range and clinches up with Greene. Trigg with a knee to the head.
 It looks like Nickolas Greene has been cut. Trigg stalling against the cage.
Greene is trying to push Trigg away but Trigg has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Greene tries to pull guard but Trigg won't allow it.
Trigg escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Trigg dives in and grabs Greene's left leg, looking for a takedown. Greene pushes down on Trigg's head and hops out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greene drives through and clinches with Trigg against the cage.

Trigg takes the fight into the clinch. Trigg connects with a nasty looking knee right to Greene's face.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Greene tries to pull guard but Trigg won't allow it.

Greene misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nickolas Greene. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trigg gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Trigg is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Trigg manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Trigg landing knees to the head.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Trigg's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Greene tries to keep at a distance but Trigg has taken the fight into the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Trigg unloads a knee to the mid-section. Greene is breathing heavily. Trigg lands a nice knee to the body. Greene takes a knee to the side of the body. Greene blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Trigg drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Trigg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Trigg scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. You can see the frustration on Greene's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Greene stops Trigg from passing to mount.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Trigg trying to control the action but Greene is working from the bottom.
Trigg decides to stand back up. Trigg steps back and let's Greene get back to his feet.
Trigg has closed the distance and engaged Greene in a clinch.
Trigg pulls guard successfully.
Trigg has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Greene off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Trigg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Trigg dives in for a single leg takedown but Greene sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Trigg has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Greene uses from the top position. Greene stopping the sweep attempt from Trigg. Trigg working a defensive guard here.
Trigg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Greene manages to get himself to full guard.
 We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Trigg pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Greene is keeping the position for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gunner Trigg dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nickolas Greene's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Greene tries to keep at a distance but Trigg has taken the fight into the clinch. Trigg landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Trigg has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Trigg slowing the pace effectively.
Trigg pulls Greene into guard.
Trigg wants to hit a sweep here but Greene passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Trigg there!
Greene working for a submission but Trigg is keeping him at bay. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trigg tries to reverse the position but Greene maintains control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Trigg is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Trigg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Greene sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Greene could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Trigg tries to reverse the position but Greene maintains control. Greene content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Trigg tries to hold on but Greene postures up. Trigg wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Greene.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Trigg is wriggling around trying to escape.
Greene is working for a guillotine from mount but Trigg frees his head quite easily.
Greene throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Trigg tries to get back to half guard but can't. Trigg tries to hold on but Greene postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trigg can do anything to dispel that myth.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Trigg really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Trigg wants to control but Greene is having none of it. Greene misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Trigg wants to hold on but Greene pushes him away. Trigg can't escape the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Trigg tries to hold on but Greene pushes him away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Greene has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Trigg should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Greene has tightened it up now! Trigg should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
