Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fjodr Emilianencho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Preved Medvedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emilianencho's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Red Army Is The Strongest- Red Army Choir. Fjodr Emilianencho had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Preved Medvedov!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emilianencho shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Emilianencho trying to pass the guard but Medvedov defending well.
Emilianencho blocks the strikes from Medvedov.
Emilianencho is thwarting Medvedov's attempts to control the position.
Emilianencho is trying to control. Medvedov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Emilianencho swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Medvedov is now in Emilianencho's guard. A big mistake from Emilianencho there, giving up the dominant position!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Medvedov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Medvedov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Emilianencho controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Medvedov doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Medvedov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Emilianencho manages to get himself to full guard.
Emilianencho seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Medvedov is breathing heavily.

Emilianencho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Medvedov would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Medvedov has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Emilianencho regains guard immediately.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Medvedov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Emilianencho wants to take a breather but Medvedov is having none of it.

Emilianencho is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Medvedov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Emilianencho.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Emilianencho bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Medvedov's guard.
Medvedov wants to sweep but no luck.

Medvedov is pulling down on Emilianencho's head to control his posture.
Emilianencho not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Emilianencho throws and elbow that misses. Medvedov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Emilianencho's guard. Nice move by Medvedov!

Emilianencho is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Medvedov is aware though and is defending well.
Medvedov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Medvedov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Emilianencho will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Medvedov moves into range and clinches up with Emilianencho.
Medvedov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Emilianencho walks away with a smile on his face. Medvedov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Fjodr Emilianencho overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Emilianencho is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Medvedov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Medvedov.

Emilianencho has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Medvedov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Emilianencho is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Medvedov pulls down on the head and he's put Emilianencho to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Preved Medvedov!
