Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darin Pendle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Landen Dominguez!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pendle throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pendle sets himself, and Dominguez steps forward looking for the clinch! Pendle avoids it this time.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dominguez is defended easily by Pendle.
Dominguez misses with a combination
and Pendle counters with a good, hard body kick but Dominguez shrugs it off.
Pendle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dominguez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pendle as he jumps to the side.
Dominguez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dominguez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dominguez takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dominguez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pendle as he jumps to the side.

Pendle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pendle lets loose with a powerful body kick. Dominguez will feel that in the morning.
Dominguez looks for a takedown but Pendle sprawls well.

Dominguez closes the distance and clinches up with Pendle, looking for a takedown. Dominguez pushes Pendle against the cage but Pendle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

It seemed like Dominguez was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Dominguez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pendle but Pendle pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dominguez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dominguez avoids the head kick by Pendle.
Dominguez doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Pendle throws a lazy head kick
and Dominguez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dominguez has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Pendle.
Pendle lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Pendle lands a good knee to the midsection. Dominguez won't want to take too many of those.
Pendle drags the fight down to the ground.
Pendle is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Pendle wants to stand but Dominguez is controlling the position.

Dominguez has gone for a leg lock! Pendle slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dominguez's guard.
Pendle not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dominguez has his foot on Pendle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pendle works his way back into a safe position though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dominguez gets caught flat footed, as Pendle shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Dominguez is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Pendle has his hands clasped together but Dominguez extends and breaks Pendle's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dominguez.
