Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charles Gracie (ranked 391 p4p, 881 weight class) and Felipe Miranda (ranked 50 p4p, 88 weight class). Gracie comes into the arena with Corbin - all he touched is dead blaring out of the sound system. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charles Gracie! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Miranda! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Gracie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Miranda throws out the jab.
Gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gracie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Miranda, who protects the arm well. Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Miranda keeps working. Gracie is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Gracie tries to advance to mount but can't.
Gracie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Miranda is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Gracie trying to control the position but Miranda is working away. Miranda prevents Gracie from moving into mount.
Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Miranda knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Miranda tries to bench press Gracie off him but Gracie keeps the position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Miranda wants to control but Gracie postures up. Miranda looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Miranda is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Gracie works to advance to full mount. Miranda defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Gracie avoids the attempt from Miranda to control. Gracie tries to control but Miranda wriggling away.
Gracie looking to secure an arm triangle but Miranda defends it well.
Gracie is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gracie extends the arm and Miranda is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Charles Gracie! Charles Gracie retains his featherweight title! Charles Gracie bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
