Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pierre Andersen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darin Pendle!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pendle lands a head kick. Andersen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Pendle goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Pendle throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Pendle lands with a nice body kick.
Darin Pendle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Andersen scores with a takedown into Pendle's guard.
Andersen trying to control but Pendle is working from the bottom.
Andersen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Pendle wants to sweep but no luck.
Andersen prevents Pendle from getting back to his feet.
Andersen stands up from Pendle's guard - Andersen perhaps looking for a knockout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Andersen avoids the head kick by Pendle.
Pendle gets caught napping as Andersen dives in and scores a takedown. Pendle manages to retain guard.
Pendle is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Andersen dives into side control.

Pendle tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Andersen patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
I would not like to be Pendle right now.
Andersen is looking for the choke from the back position but Pendle is controlling his hands well.
Pendle prevents Andersen from getting a body triangle.

Andersen is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Pendle has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Pendle tries to roll but Andersen sticks to his back.
Pendle is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Andersen is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Pendle up.

Andersen is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Pendle with him. Pendle is trying to defend but Andersen has an arm under the chin now! Pendle grimaces and is forced to tap out!
