Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zabuza Momochi (ranked 1296 p4p, 3400 weight class) and Freddy Reyes (ranked 152 p4p, 344 weight class). Reyes comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Young, Wild and Free kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Zabuza Momochi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Freddy Reyes's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes throws a body shot but no joy.
Momochi quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Momochi tries to close the distance and clinch but Reyes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A nice side step and Reyes releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Reyes is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Momochi rather than just go for the knockout.
Momochi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Momochi swings wildly with an uppercut but Reyes uses good head movement to avoid it.

I was talking to Momochi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Reyes wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Reyes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Reyes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Momochi connects with a high kick.
Momochi misses with a kick to the body
and Momochi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Whack! Momochi lands a heavy head kick that drops Reyes. The ref tackles Momochi to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Reyes was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Zabuza Momochi!
During a confident post fight interview, Zabuza Momochi thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
