Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Zass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 29 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Carter Wright!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Zass takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Zass dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wright tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wright on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
We've been informed that Wright has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Carter Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wright with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wright misses with a shot to the body
and Zass counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Carter Wright has been cut.
Wright takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Zass throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zass lands with a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Zass connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That has opened up Carter Wright's cut even more.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wright looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Zass is looking to counter the offense by Wright and move into the clinch.

Zass darts in and clinches Wright up against the cage.
Zass tries to throw a body punch but Wright avoids it by throwing Zass back against the cage.
Zass misses with a body punch.
Zass fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Zass working aggressively here.
Wright tries to break the clinch but Zass is controlling the position.
Zass tries to work over Wright's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A short uppercut from Zass.

The cut above Carter Wright's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Zass lands a hook that snaps the head of Wright backwards.

Carter Wright's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Carter Wright's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Alexander Zass!
Our winner, Alexander Zass, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
