Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Iranian Hulk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Nelli Thomus!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomus tries a head kick but it misses.
Hulk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Thomus sprawls well initially but Hulk persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ground and pound from Hulk.
Thomus taking some punishment here, with Hulk in his half guard.
Hulk misses with a head shot. Thomus uses the momentum to regain guard.
Thomus is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hulk working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hulk chips away with some ground and pound.
Hulk throws an elbow that misses. Thomus uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hulk's guard. Nice move by Thomus!

Thomus trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hulk's guard.
Hulk has his foot on Thomus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Thomus works his way back into a safe position though.
Thomus wanted to stand there but Hulk had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hulk throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Hulk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hulk stalling.
Hulk winds up and cracks Thomus with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Thomus has hold of Hulk's hands but Hulk slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hulk looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Hulk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hulk prevents Thomus from standing back up.
Hulk is controlling the pace.
Thomus is looking to escape.
Hulk is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Thomus is trying to stand back up but Hulk is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hulk is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Thomus is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Iranian Hulk!
