The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malloy tries for a takedown but Ritter circles away easily
and Ritter counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Luther Malloy has been cut.
Luther Malloy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ritter gets tackled into the cage by Malloy. Malloy maintains the clinch.

Ritter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Malloy tries for a takedown but Ritter circles away easily
and Ritter counters with a crisp right hand that drops Malloy! Ritter lets Malloy back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luther Malloy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malloy glances at the clock... BAM! Ritter nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Malloy crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Malloy is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
