Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Marquez (ranked 4475 p4p, 23243 weight class) and Higanti Libat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominic Marquez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Higanti Libat's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dominic Marquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 63 - 92 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marquez misses with the combination.
Libat replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Marquez blocks it well. Marquez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Marquez enables Libat to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Marquez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Marquez is wriggling around but Libat manages to pass to half guard.
Marquez keeps control of the position for the meantime. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marquez flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Marquez throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Marquez preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Marquez is trying to get back to full guard. Marquez is controlling Libat's trapped leg to prevent Libat from advancing to side control. Marquez wants to get back to full guard. Libat looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Marquez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Marquez is positioning himself well to prevent Libat advancing to mount.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Libat prevents Marquez from improving his position. Marquez is working hard here to advance position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Marquez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Marquez wants to improve his position but Libat is controlling well.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Marquez wants to get back to his feet.
Marquez is controlling Libat's trapped leg to prevent Libat from advancing to side control.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Marquez. Marquez shoots for a double leg takedown but Libat sprawls well. He's pushed Marquez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dominic Marquez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Libat gets caught napping as Marquez dives in and scores a takedown. Libat manages to retain guard. Marquez is looking to stand up but Libat won't let him.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Marquez throwing strikes from guard but Libat blocks nicely. Libat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marquez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Libat is on top in guard.
Libat trying to control but Marquez is working from the bottom. Marquez trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marquez wants to stand but Libat is controlling the position. Libat trying to control the position from guard on top but Marquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Higanti Libat dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Marquez takes the fight into the clinch. Marquez wants to get back to striking at distance but Libat won't allow it.
Libat turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Marquez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Libat's best efforts. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marquez is pressing down on Libat's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Marquez seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Marquez is looking for a triangle but Libat pushes his legs off easily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Marquez controlling the position. Libat trying to control but Marquez is working from the bottom. Dominic Marquez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Marquez looking for a sweep. Not yet Marquez, not yet. Libat trying to control the position from guard on top but Marquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marquez controlling the position. Marquez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Libat prevents Marquez from getting back to his feet. Marquez pulls Libat in close to prevent any damage. Marquez is looking to stand up but Libat isn't so interested in that idea.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Marquez swings for the body but Libat moves out of range.
Libat is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Marquez shoots in but no luck this time. Dominic Marquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marquez fails to land with a series of punches.
Marquez moves into the clinch successfully.

Libat tightens his grip and picks Marquez up, before dumping him to the ground. Marquez manages to land in guard. Libat trying to control but Marquez is working from the bottom.
Marquez pushes Libat off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Libat is breathing heavily.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Marquez wants to clinch up but Libat keeps it at a distance.
Marquez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Libat is trying to defend but Marquez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Marquez content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Marquez wants to free his trapped foot but Libat is holding on for dear life with his legs. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dominic Marquez dominated that second round. That's time! Marquez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Libat changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marquez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Marquez tries to buck Libat off but Libat is having none of it. Marquez sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Marquez actively working from the bottom here. Marquez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marquez has control of Libat's left arm, preventing Libat from doing any damage.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Marquez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Marquez is looking to stand up but Libat isn't so interested in that idea.
Libat content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Marquez has locked up a guillotine! Marquez's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Libat is holding on here and Marquez must be using up a lot of energy. Libat has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Marquez gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Dominic Marquez! Dominic Marquez tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
