Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Ripley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vino Kourov!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kourov checks a leg kick.
Kourov lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Jack Ripley has been cut.
Kourov works over Ripley's head and body with a nice combination.
Kourov misses with a combination
and Ripley counters with a one-two to the body.
Kourov misses with a straight left.
Ripley lands a leg kick that knocks Kourov off balance momentarily.
Ripley is pawing at Kourov, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Kourov's nose. Kourov is badly hurt! Ripley pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Kourov tries desperately to hold on but Ripley is relentless in his assault! As Kourov receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Ripley away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Ripley!
In defeat, Vino Kourov stepped up to the mic, saying 'there's vomit on his sweat ! mom's spaghetti's !'.
