Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tomasz Bartosiński!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mateus Monteiro!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartosiński buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Monteiro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Monteiro fails with the takedown
and Bartosiński counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bartosiński feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Monteiro sprawling to the canvas! Monteiro rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bartosiński finish him?!
It looks like Mateus Monteiro has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bartosiński throws a powerful right kick. Monteiro tried to block low but the kick was high! Monteiro was taken right off of his feet! Bartosiński jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tomasz Bartosiński!
A pretty intense looking Tomasz Bartosiński took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
