Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Mander (ranked 3463 p4p, 3444 weight class) and Ling Xaio (ranked 333 p4p, 332 weight class). Ling Xaio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerry Mander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ling Xaio! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xaio closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Xaio lands in his opponent's guard. Xaio seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mander definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Xaio is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Xaio passes Mander's left leg - he's now in half guard. Mander has hold of Xaio's hands but Xaio slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Xaio wants to pass the guard but Mander is defending well. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Xaio's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. It looks like Xaio might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jerry Mander is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Xaio closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Mander is being controlled here. Xaio creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mander is trying to control Xaio's posture but Xaio avoids it. Xaio is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mander's shoulder. That is not cool. Mander prevents Xaio from improving position. Mander trying to remain calm as Xaio controls from the top position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. More stalling from Xaio.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Xaio looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Xaio is figuring out what he wants to do next. Xaio takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Xaio content to control rather than advance.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Xaio wants to pass the guard but Mander is defending well. Xaio controlling the action here.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mander misses with a looping right. Mander ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Xaio moves away. Xaio closes the distance and clinches up with Mander, looking for a takedown. Xaio pushes Mander against the ropes but Mander circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Xaio looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mander gets caught flat footed, as Xaio shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Mander working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Xaio. Mander tries to land a sweep but no joy. Xaio is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Xaio is continuing to stall.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Xaio has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Mander avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
 That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mander misses with a left hand
and Xaio decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mander's guard. Xaio is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mander looking to hit a scissor sweep but Xaio is one step ahead there. Xaio's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mander on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mander tries to get out of the position.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round. Xaio advances position into side control! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Xaio working the ground and pound. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ling Xaio dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Xaio scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Xaio takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Xaio works his way into full mount! Xaio fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Xaio controlling the pace for now. Xaio with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The adventures of Xaio the control monster continue. Boring. Ling Xaio has got the better of the ground game so far.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Xaio connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Xaio controlling the position easily from mount. Xaio has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mander's face.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Xaio working Mander over with strikes here. Xaio raining down shots from the mount! Xaio controlling from the full mount. Mander is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

 That's five minutes gone in the round. Xaio controlling from the full mount. Xaio lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mander hang on? Xaio looking to control and managing it successfully. Xaio cracks Mander with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Xaio sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Xaio lands a big elbow. Xaio takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Xaio with good strikes from the mount here! Jerry Mander has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Xaio looking to control and managing it successfully. Ling Xaio is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
 That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mander is in a horrible position here. Xaio smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Ling Xaio comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Xaio has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ling Xaio wins by unanimous decision! Ling Xaio very nearly forgot to thank Deathstrike Apparel amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
