And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Phoenix is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Phoenix avoids the head kick by Ford.
Ford dives in and grabs Phoenix's left leg, looking for a takedown. Phoenix pushes down on Ford's head and hops out.
Phoenix drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ford defends it well.
Ford gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Phoenix to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Phoenix connects with a couple of short punches.
Phoenix lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Phoenix lands a big elbow - Ford is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Phoenix!
