Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yaro Bakes (ranked 727 p4p, 2113 weight class) and Montgomery Scott (ranked 97 p4p, 260 weight class). Yaro Bakes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Yaro Bakes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Montgomery Scott! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bakes tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Scott presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Scott landing strikes from the mount. Bakes really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Scott raining down shots from the mount! Scott tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bakes manages to regain half guard. Good work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bakes tries to get to full guard but Scott has control of the leg. Scott is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Scott lands with a punch from half guard. Scott looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bakes tries to roll over but Scott keeps him under control. Scott wants to control but Bakes is keeping him busy. Scott seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Bakes taking some punishment here, with Scott in his half guard. Scott is nestled in close to Bakes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Scott in particular looking to stall. Bakes tries to get to full guard but Scott has control of the leg. Bakes manages to get to full guard.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bakes wants to sweep here but Scott controlling him for the moment. Scott is working Bakes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Bakes looking for a sweep. Not yet Bakes, not yet. Scott stands up over Bakes, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Bakes looking for a sweep. Not yet Bakes, not yet. Scott makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Scott working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bakes's head. Bakes is pulling down on Scott's head to control his posture. Scott looking to pass the guard. Scott throws a big elbow that misses. Bakes looking for a sweep. Not yet Bakes, not yet.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Bakes lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Scott working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bakes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Scott is tightening it up a little... Bakes has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bakes reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bakes taps out! Nice BJJ there by Scott!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Montgomery Scott! After winning the bout, Montgomery Scott thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
