Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Dominguez (ranked 3854 p4p, 4213 weight class) and Nickolas Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that James Dominguez has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily James Dominguez seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Dominguez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nickolas Greene! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Greene shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dominguez defends it nicely. Greene shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dominguez as he avoids it easily. Dominguez shoots in and drives through. Greene sprawls well. Greene tries to clinch but Dominguez moves out of range.
Greene shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dominguez napping and manages to drive through into side control! Greene lands some shots froms side control. Greene has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dominguez parries the strikes from Greene easily there. Greene is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dominguez to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greene has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Greene fails with the takedown. James Dominguez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nickolas Greene. Dominguez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Greene closes the distance and clinches up with Dominguez, looking for a takedown. Greene pushes Dominguez against the cage but Dominguez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dominguez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dominguez wants it to stay on the feet. Greene darts in looking for a takedown but Dominguez gets double underhooks and turns Greene into the cage. Greene looks winded! Dominguez scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Dominguez clinches up against the cage. Dominguez tries to pull guard but Greene won't allow it.
Dominguez gets control of Greene's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dominguez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Dominguez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Greene on the ground. Dominguez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Greene stopping the sweep attempt from Dominguez. Dominguez controlling the position. Greene trying to control but Dominguez is working from the bottom.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Greene postures up in Dominguez's guard and throws a big left but Dominguez blocks it. Dominguez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Dominguez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Greene defends well and Dominguez ends up having to push Greene into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Greene has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dominguez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Dominguez looking for a takedown. Greene has had enough of the clinch but Dominguez keeps him there for the moment.
Dominguez pulls guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Dominguez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Greene controls the pace. Greene trying to control the position from guard on top but Dominguez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dominguez looking for a sweep. Not yet Dominguez, not yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Greene controls the pace of the fight for a moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
James Dominguez dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Greene stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Greene wants it to stay on the feet. Dominguez connects with a body shot that sends Greene's belly button to the back. Dominguez dives in for a single leg takedown but Greene sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Greene jumps guard and drags Dominguez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Dominguez wants to control from the top but Greene keeps moving. Greene manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dominguez manages to get himself to full guard.
 Greene should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Dominguez is trying to keep Greene in close.
Nickolas Greene has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dominguez is on top in guard.

Dominguez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dominguez tries to pull guard but Greene forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Dominguez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dominguez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Greene has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dominguez is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Greene tries to break the clinch but Dominguez is controlling the position. Greene tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Dominguez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dominguez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Greene to score an easy takedown into full guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Dominguez is trying to keep Greene in close.
Dominguez wants to get back to his feet but Greene is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Dominguez trying to strike off his back.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Greene thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Dominguez wriggles free and stands up. Greene takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Left hook, right uppercut from Dominguez. James Dominguez is winning the standup battle so far.
Dominguez moves into the clinch. Dominguez drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dominguez blocks a body shot from Greene. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dominguez shoots and misses and Greene counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Greene throws a series of punches but Dominguez avoids them all with ease. Greene moves in looking to clinch but Dominguez pushes him off.
Greene closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dominguez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Greene can do to turn this around? Greene lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Dominguez down.
Greene looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Dominguez wants to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dominguez is looking to reverse the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Greene wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dominguez keeps working.
Greene is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dominguez has escaped the position, nice work there. Dominguez stops Greene from passing to mount.
Greene decides to take the fight back to the feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dominguez tries to clinch but Greene is having none of it. James Dominguez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Greene takes a body punch but keeps moving. Dominguez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dominguez fails with a takedown attempt.
Greene closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dominguez to the mat! Dominguez manages to get full guard. Greene trying to control but Dominguez is working from the bottom. Dominguez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Greene controls from within his opponent's guard. Greene wants to control from the top but Dominguez keeps moving.
Greene drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dominguez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dominguez looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dominguez!

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dominguez wants to control but Greene is keeping him busy. Dominguez controlling the position from side mount.
Dominguez decides to stand back up. Nickolas Greene has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James Dominguez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Greene throws a head kick that misses. Dominguez drops down looking for a counter takedown but Greene sprawls and moves away.
And that's the end of the fight! Nickolas Greene comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Dominguez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
