The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Niratpattanasai counter with a right hand.
Richards connects with a jab.
Niratpattanasai just misses with a punch to the body.
Niratpattanasai throws a jab when Richards was well out of range.
Richards throws a jab but it's blocked by Niratpattanasai.
Richards defending well as Niratpattanasai loads up on a big left hand.
Richards takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Niratpattanasai slaps away a takedown attempt from Richards, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Richards takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Niratpattanasai stalks Richards and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Richards's face. Richards staggers backwards, shaken.
Richards is rocked!
Richards rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Niratpattanasai counters with a crisp right that sends Richards to the canvas! Niratpattanasai follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
