Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ichiro Hasegawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Devin Cordova!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hasegawa misses with a few strikes there.
Cordova looks to score with a jab to the body but Hasegawa is just out of range.
Cordova misses with a hook.
Cordova throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hasegawa misses with a series of wild punches.
Cordova misses with an uppercut. Hasegawa saw that one coming.
Cordova throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hasegawa.
A shot to the body from Cordova misses
and Hasegawa counters with a one-two to the body.
Hasegawa misses with a series of wild punches.
Hasegawa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cordova pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hasegawa gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hasegawa dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Cordova has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hasegawa after a bit of a struggle.
Cordova goes for a takedown attempt but Hasegawa pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hasegawa ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cordova moves out of range of the strikes.
Hasegawa dodges the punch combination from Cordova.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hasegawa feints with a jab and clips Cordova right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Cordova is sent crashing into the canvas and Hasegawa leaps in for the kill! Cordova tries to get to his feet but Hasegawa is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Cordova is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ichiro Hasegawa!
