Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Dezmond Drake (ranked 1220 p4p, 2797 weight class) and En Route (ranked 142 p4p, 287 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 18 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dezmond Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 19 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, En Route!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake throws a left and a right that both miss
and Route counters with a nice low kick that buckles Drake's knee momentarily.
Route misses with a body kick.
Drake throws the left hand but Route avoids the punch easily.
Drake loads up on a big right hand but Route slips the punch.
Drake backing away here, and Route unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Route connects with a leg kick.
Route swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A little feinted left hand from Drake on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A low kick from Route misses
and Drake counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Route lands with a thumping leg kick.
Route throws a leg kick but Drake sees it coming and moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Route lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

En Route seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drake clinches up with Route and pushes him back against the cage.

Route swings wildly with an uppercut but Drake uses good head movement to avoid it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Drake fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Route manages to avoid it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Route looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
