Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rico Holloway (ranked 25814 p4p, 2750 weight class) and Pierre Andersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rico Holloway could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Pierre Andersen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rico Holloway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pierre Andersen!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holloway shoots in looking for a takedown but Andersen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Holloway's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Holloway gets caught flat footed, as Andersen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Holloway can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Andersen controls the pace.
Holloway will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Holloway keeping moving, preventing Andersen from controlling successfully.
Andersen stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Some wild striking there from Andersen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Andersen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Andersen misses with a body shot
enabling Holloway to counter with a crisp jab.
Andersen shoots in looking for a takedown. Holloway tries to sprawl out of it but Andersen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Holloway manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Holloway throws a quick counter head kick but Andersen was just out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Holloway shoots in but Andersen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Holloway tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Andersen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Holloway avoids the head kick by Andersen.
Andersen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Holloway sprawls well initially but Andersen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Holloway tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Andersen has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Andersen wants to control the pace but Holloway is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holloway tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Holloway reaches up to try and control the position but Andersen seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Holloway rolls and tries to escape and now Andersen has his back!

You can see the frustration on Holloway's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Andersen controls the action.
Andersen is working for a rear naked choke. Holloway is not defending it well and Andersen has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Holloway refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Holloway's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Pierre Andersen!
