Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rhashaun Kinkead (ranked 599 p4p, 812 weight class) and Gerrad Skolz (ranked 77 p4p, 112 weight class). Rhashaun Kinkead could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gerrad Skolz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rhashaun Kinkead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerrad Skolz!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skolz swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kinkead connects with an inside leg kick.
Kinkead has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kinkead misses with a low kick.
Skolz tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Skolz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kinkead has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Skolz throws out a leg kick but Kinkead moves out of range and Skolz only half commits.
Skolz throws a front kick that sends Kinkead stumbling back into the cage.

Skolz takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Kinkead gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Skolz stuffs the takedown attempt from Kinkead. Kinkead gets slowly back to his feet.
Kinkead is looking to slow Skolz down with leg kicks.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kinkead shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Skolz napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Kinkead tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Skolz sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Kinkead looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kinkead seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Skolz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kinkead uses his free foot to push down on Skolz's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Skolz.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Kinkead walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Kinkead is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Skolz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Skolz shrugs it off.
