This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 43 wins and 34 losses; Denubis Majere! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 109 wins and 66 losses; Tyron Scott! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Majere scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Majere (4) vs (0) Scott Majere is looking to take a break and control but Scott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Majere tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Majere content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Scott can't do much from the bottom here. Scott tries to get back to half guard but can't. Majere staying calm.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Majere wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Majere wants to lay and pray for a moment but Scott keeps working. Majere tries to advance to mount but can't. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott tries to bench press Majere off him but Majere keeps the position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Majere taking a breather here. Scott felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Majere has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Majere has knee on belly momentarily but Scott bucks him off and regains half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Majere content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Scott is trying to get back to full guard. Majere takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Majere wants to pass to mount but Scott is defending the position. Still in half guard, Majere seems content to control. Majere passes to full mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Majere (7) vs (0) Scott Scott has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Score +3 for taking back: Majere (10) vs (0) Scott Majere really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Scott.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. Majere tries to get the hooks in deep but Scott pushed the leg off. A bit of a pause in the action here. Majere controlling the positon. Majere's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Majere is trying to stick to Scott's back but Scott is turning into Majere. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Majere's guard. Majere trying to get back to full guard but Scott takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Scott can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Majere is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
