Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between King James (ranked 2162 p4p, 3636 weight class) and Matsuda Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matsuda Takeshi! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James lands a nice leg kick that just misses Takeshi's sensitive parts. Takeshi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from James.
Takeshi moves into range and clinches up with James. James misses with a short punch on the inside. Takeshi has James pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. James manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. James is trying to break the clinch but Takeshi has him pressed against the cage. James looking to throw knees to the head but Takeshi is blocking nicely.

James thows a body kick. Takeshi tries to catch it but that hurt him. Takeshi checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. James misses with the combination.
James has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Roosters Coop in the buildup to the fight. Takeshi walks forward, straight into a front kick from James. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takeshi checks a low kick from James. Takeshi tries to counter with a clinch but James shakes him off and moves away. James misses with a low kick as Takeshi jumps back. Takeshi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from James. Takeshi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but James defends well and Takeshi ends up having to push James into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
 That's one minute gone in the round. James throws a leg kick that is checked
and Takeshi counters with a takedown into side control. Takeshi scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at James to see if he's OK. James is looking to regain half guard here but Takeshi keeps moving and retains side control. Takeshi working away.

James gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! James is trying desperately to improve position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. James is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. James has given up his back. Will we see Takeshi going for some submissions?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James is really stuck here.

Well, with Takeshi on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before James is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Takeshi lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns James.

Takeshi is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. James has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Takeshi has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! James taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Takeshi doesn't care though - he's delighted!
