Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tripp Trevino (ranked 4355 p4p, 26044 weight class) and Rael Adesanya (ranked 438 p4p, 510 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rael Adesanya!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adesanya blocks the body kick.
A head kick by Adesanya misses
and Trevino counters with a one-two to the body.
Trevino throws a head kick but Adesanya moves out of range.
Adesanya pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Adesanya throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Adesanya throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The fight stays on the outside here - Adesanya looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Adesanya throws a lazy head kick
and Trevino counters with a crisp one two that drops Adesanya! Trevino thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Adesanya to his feet! Adesanya is in big trouble!

Adesanya misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Adesanya is still on wobbly legs! Can Trevino finish him?
Trevino has Adesanya up against the cage in a clinch.
Adesanya throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Trevino's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Adesanya seems to have recovered his senses.
Trevino connects with a combination that backs up Adesanya into the cage. Trevino lands a flurry of punches that gets past Adesanya's guard. Adesanya is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Trevino bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tripp Trevino!
