Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Atkinson (ranked 1140 p4p, 559 weight class) and Charles Gracie (ranked 113 p4p, 59 weight class). Gracie has chosen Corbin - all he touched is dead as his entrance music. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Ronald Atkinson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Charles Gracie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ronald Atkinson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charles Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atkinson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Atkinson with a nice cross.
Gracie gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Atkinson throws a jab but it's blocked by Gracie.
Atkinson is looking to land body kicks.
Gracie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Atkinson to the mat! Atkinson manages to get full guard.
Atkinson kicks Gracie off and gets to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gracie dives in and grabs Atkinson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Atkinson pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.
Atkinson throwing a counter right hand but Gracie manages to avoid it.
Gracie slips a straight right by Atkinson.
Gracie tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Atkinson looks to land a right hand but Gracie moved out of range.
Atkinson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Atkinson throws an overhand right that lands on Gracie's shoulder, as Gracie tries to avoid the shot.
Gracie closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Atkinson's guard.
Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie is pushing down on Atkinson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Atkinson is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through.

Gracie is working for a submission of some sort.

Gracie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Atkinson tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Atkinson is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard.
Gracie not doing much here.
Atkinson trying to hold on to Gracie's head to control him but Gracie postures up.
Gracie uses his free foot to push down on Atkinson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Atkinson.

Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Atkinson is looking to escape.
Atkinson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Atkinson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gracie avoids the attempt from Atkinson to control.
Gracie seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Atkinson is holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Atkinson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gracie trying to control but Atkinson is having none of it.
Atkinson is trying to stand up.
Atkinson tries to control Gracie's head but Gracie pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! Atkinson is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!

A less than humble Charles Gracie misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
