The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Champaign shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chai pinned against the cage. Chai gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chai tries a head kick but it misses.
Chai lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Solo Champaign has been cut.
Nice cross by Chai.
Champaign misses with a body shot
and Chai counters with an inside leg kick.
Chai lands a big head kick that sends Champaign tumbling to the mat! Chai takes a step backwards and waves Champaign back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Champaign is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A solid leg kick lands there for Chai.
Champaign is still on wobbly legs! Can Chai finish him?
Nice body kick there by Chai.
Champaign looks winded!
Chai finds Champaign's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Champaign flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Chai lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Champaign will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Isamu San Chai!
