Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cavalho Atunes (ranked 884 p4p, 2834 weight class) and Alexey Turmarrov (ranked 119 p4p, 303 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Atunes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Makeba. Alexey Turmarrov has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turmarrov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Atunes.
Turmarrov tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Atunes ducks under a wild hook from Turmarrov.
Turmarrov looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Atunes!
Turmarrov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Turmarrov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Atunes holds on to Turmarrov's head and controls the position momentarily.

Atunes is trying to work for a sweep but Turmarrov has mounted him!
Atunes is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Poor strikes thrown by Turmarrov there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Atunes is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Turmarrov goes for an armbar but Atunes turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Atunes.
Turmarrov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Atunes defends well.
Atunes wants to get up but he can't break Turmarrov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Turmarrov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Atunes wants to stand but Turmarrov is controlling his posture from full guard.

Turmarrov misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Atunes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Atunes connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and Atunes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Turmarrov shoots in and bounces Atunes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Turmarrov looking to sit in guard and control but Atunes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Turmarrov is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Atunes frees his head nicely. Oh but Turmarrov has switched to an armbar! Atunes is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
