And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 0 losses; Stsyapan Chai! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious?
Chai shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Chai was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Dresner (0) vs (4) Chai Dresner is looking to regain half guard here but Chai keeps moving and retains side control. Chai controls the position from side control. Let's hope that Chai has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Chai. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dresner is trying to improve his position. Dresner is letting Chai control him for a moment. Dresner tries to improve position but can't.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Dresner is looking for a sweep. Chai is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Dresner's shoulder. That is not cool. Dresner is trying to improve his position. Chai in side control, just content to control the action for now. Yet more stalling tactics from Chai.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Dresner is not content to let Chai control the position. Chai takes a little break here. Dresner wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dresner tries to improve position but can't. Chai controls the position from side control. We've been hearing good reports from Dresner's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Dresner is positioning himself to get back to half guard. A lull in the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dresner is not content to let Chai control the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Chai is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Dresner is looking for a sweep. Chai staying calm.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Chai wants to control but Dresner is keeping him busy. Dresner is looking to regain half guard here but Chai keeps moving and retains side control. Chai content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Chai's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Chai wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dresner keeps working. Chai is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. Chai trying to control the position but Dresner is working away. Dresner sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Dresner is looking for a sweep. Chai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Chai is pressing down on Dresner's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dresner is holding on for now. Dresner gets full guard. Chai not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Chai preventing the sweep. Chai showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Chai tries to free his leg and advance position but Dresner is retaining full guard.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Chai is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. More stalling from Chai. Dresner is trying to keep Chai in close.
Chai stopping the sweep attempt from Dresner. Chai engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Chai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dresner swivels though and keeps the full guard. Chai slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Dresner is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Dresner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chai gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Chai is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dresner looking for a sweep. Not yet Dresner, not yet. Chai controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chai wants to pass the guard but Dresner is keeping the position.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round. Dresner looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chai is one step ahead there. Chai content to stall in guard here.

Chai is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Chai pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dresner is keeping the position for now.

Dresner is looking to cinch up a triangle. Chai throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Dresner's body to avoid the submission. Dresner has instead reached around Chai's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Dresner arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
