This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 59 wins and 55 losses; Richard Anderson! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 108 wins and 66 losses; Tyron Scott! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. No luck for Anderson with that takedown attempt. Scott tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Scott shoots in and bounces Anderson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Anderson (0) vs (2) Scott Scott being controlled here momentarily. Anderson working a defensive guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scott not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Scott is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Scott is pushing down on Anderson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Anderson is fighting to maintain full guard but Scott has managed to sneak the leg through.

Well,Anderson is on his way to losing a decision here. Can he use his experience to pull something off in the closing minutes?
