The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Dean Howard has been cut.
Le Franc lands a slapping body shot.
Howard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Le Franc circles away.
Le Franc swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Le Franc has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Le Franc lands a lovely overhand right.
That has opened up Dean Howard's cut even more.
Le Franc finds Howard's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Howard flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Le Franc lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Howard will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Guy Le Franc!
A relieved looking Guy Le Franc thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
