Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Duck Silva (ranked 2507 p4p, 2319 weight class) and Koda Southam (ranked 200 p4p, 192 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duck Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Koda Southam! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Southam. No joy for Silva on that attempt. Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Silva shoots in for a takedown but Southam shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Duck Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Southam but Southam pushes him off and we're back to square one. Southam tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center. Silva with a lazy takedown attempt and Southam connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Southam looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Silva fails to land the takedown.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Silva with a poor takedown and Southam counters with a head kick. That will keep Silva thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt. Silva misses with a body kick. Silva with a lazy takedown attempt and Southam counters with a one-two to the body. Southam throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nice sprawl there from Southam as Silva shoots in. Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Silva shoots in for a takedown but Southam shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Southam raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A countering left hand to the body from Southam misses.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Southam connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Koda Southam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Silva is trying hard to land a takedown here. Southam sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A lazy left from Southam finds it's target. This has been an exciting period of action! Southam cracks Silva with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Southam throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Silva goes for a double leg but Southam avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Southam continues to drive forward.

Silva has his takedown stuffed and Southam counters with a nice body shot. Southam stuffs the takedown. Southam raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Silva closes this distance looking for a takedown but Southam circles away.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance. As Silva backs off Southam throws a huge counter combo but Silva manages to avoid it all. Silva is breathing heavily. Southam misses with a wild body shot. Silva shoots and misses and Southam counters with a right hand to the body. Silva with a poor takedown and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Duck Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva tries to clinch but Southam is having none of it. A little jabbing left from Southam on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Silva closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Southam's guard. Southam wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Southam swivels though and keeps the full guard. Southam looking to control.
Southam wants to sweep but no luck.
Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Southam is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Southam keeps trying to improve his position. Silva passes easily into side control. Nice work. Southam wants to control but Silva postures up. Duck Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Southam is looking for a sweep. Southam is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it. Silva tries to move into full mount but can't pass Southam's legs.
Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Southam is defending well. Southam is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Southam tries to improve position but can't.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Southam's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Silva looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Southam is trying to get back to half guard.
Silva goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Southam rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Silva's guard! Nice work there by Southam! Southam wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Southam got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Southam has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Southam lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Southam tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard. Silva has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

 That's eight minutes gone in the round. Southam trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva has a closed guard, preventing Southam from standing up. Southam preventing the sweep. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round. Southam must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Silva is working an open guard so Southam takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Silva misses with a takedown attempt - Southam sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Silva shoots in but Southam avoids the takedown attempt easily. Silva thows a leg kick but Southam checks it and Southam counters with a head kick. That will keep Silva thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Koda Southam is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Southam scores with a nice strike. Southam takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
And that's the end of the fight! Koda Southam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Southam has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
