This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Domingo The Flamingo! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. The Flamingo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Archer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Archer changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. The Flamingo closes the distance looking to clinch
and Archer counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for The Flamingo! Archer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. The Flamingo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Archer being controlled here, momentarily.
 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Archer keeping full guard, as The Flamingo tries to pass. The Flamingo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Archer's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The Flamingo is looking for a kimura but Archer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for The Flamingo to get the leverage. Archer holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. The Flamingo is looking to advance position but Archer won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! Archer takes the fight on points by 11 to 7. Jonathan Archer decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. |
