Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Jones (ranked 1021 p4p, 1020 weight class) and Small Dayton (ranked 100 p4p, 99 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Small Dayton !
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones moves into the clinch.
Jones throws a punch but it's blocked by Dayton .
Dayton tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Dayton drops back down to his feet.
Jones is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dayton is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jones to the mat. Jones regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones tries to get to full guard but Dayton has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones's coaches at Shut Up & Train! have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones looks like he's trying to stand up.
Dayton wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dayton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Jones slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dayton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dayton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Oh Jones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dayton loads up on a big left hand. Jones felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Dayton looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Jones can't hide his disappointment, as Dayton celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Small Dayton !
During a confident post fight interview, Small Dayton thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
