Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rei Hokazono (ranked 3030 p4p, 1987 weight class) and King James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hokazono's entrance music is Kingdom. A fine choice. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rei Hokazono! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King James! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Ben Watson and Eliza Hachem.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James throws a leg kick but Hokazono sees it coming and checks it nicely. James keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
James throws a chopping leg kick but Hokazono manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Hokazono seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. James chopping away at his opponent's legs.
James scores with a leg kick.
Hokazono chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before James can pounce on him.
James has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. James displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hokazono throws out the jab. King James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James lands a nice looking body kick.
Hokazono drops his shoulder and cracks James with a huge uppercut! James goes down! Can Hokazono finish him?
 It looks like King James has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. James managing to control the position. Hokazono won't allow James to sweep him here. James is pulling down on Hokazono's head to control his posture.
James manages to escape and get back to his feet.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hokazono on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hokazono.
James throws a combination that misses
and Hokazono counters by moving into the clinch.
James breaks from the clinch.
James connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. James loads up on a big right hand but Hokazono slips the punch. James wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. James throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Hokazono sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. A jab from James misses. Hokazono looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A chopping leg kick lands by James. Hokazono ducks under a wild hook from James. A little feinted left hand from Hokazono on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Hokazono checks a low kick from James.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. James finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hokazono shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. James connects with a leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hokazono steps to the side to avoid the strikes from James. James connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hokazono moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! James goes down! Can Hokazono finish him!? Hokazono wanted to stand there but James had control of the position. James pulls Hokazono in close to prevent any damage. James has a closed guard, preventing Hokazono from standing up. James wants to sweep but no luck.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hokazono would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. James is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
James pushes Hokazono off and gets back to his feet.
James lands a slapping body shot.
James lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. James looks to throw a body kick and Hokazono counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. James misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. James takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Hokazono checks the leg kick. James moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Hokazono moves out of range of the leg kick from James. James scores with a head kick. Hokazono tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. James misses with a low kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hokazono throws a lazy right hand but James sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. James finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
James scores with a jab. Hokazono acknowledges it with a nod of the head. A clash of legs there as Hokazono blocks the low kick. James ducks under a wild hook from Hokazono. James lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hokazono is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Hokazono looks to throw the jab but James is out of range. A good leg kick by James. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
King James dominated that round. The cut man is working on King James's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A decent looking body kick lands there for James. James lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. James misses with a straight right. Nice defenses there by James. A chopping leg kick lands by James. Hokazono has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from James. James lands a leg kick that knocks Hokazono off balance momentarily. James throws a right hand that misses
and Hokazono counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Hokazono walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Hokazono tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hokazono wants to land a leg kick but James is out of range. James raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Hokazono is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by James. James blocks a jab. James lands a glancing blow to the side of Hokazono's head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A left lands for James.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hokazono slips under a jab from James. Hokazono checks a leg kick. James is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. James misses with a low kick. Hokazono swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. James has been the more effective fighter overall so far. James lands a leg kick that knocks Hokazono off balance momentarily. Hokazono throws a low kick, looking for James's leg but James calmly moves out of range. James scores with a head kick. Hokazono tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from James in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. James lands a glancing blow to the side of Hokazono's head. Hokazono avoids the head kick by James.
James misses with a body kick. Hokazono uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by James.
Hokazono is looking to counter punch. Hokazono takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. James throws a body punch but Hokazono moves out of range. King James seems to be getting the better of the standup. James misses with an uppercut. Hokazono saw that one coming. Hokazono throwing a counter right hand but James manages to avoid it. Hokazono swings and misses with a hook to the body.
James is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. James uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hokazono has time to react. Hokazono has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by James. James with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. James scores with a kick to the midsection. James fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hokazono is out of range. Hokazono feinted there with a counter leg kick. James rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Hokazono counter with a right hand. James wants to land a leg kick but Hokazono is out of range. James walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hokazono checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. James throws a poor cross that misses
and Hokazono scores with a counter punch that sends James to the canvas! Hokazono smells blood - he's punishing James with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! James has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rei Hokazono!
