Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Colby (ranked 1064 p4p, 1449 weight class) and Marty Rainey (ranked 103 p4p, 151 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Colby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marty Rainey! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colby looks to clinch letting Rainey counter with a right hand. Rainey dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Colby tries to clinch but fails miserably and Rainey counters with a stiff right hand. Nice sprawl there from Rainey as Colby shoots in. Colby doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Rainey counter with a right hand. Rainey has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Colby shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rainey as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Colby. That's going to take a lot out of him. Colby tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rainey defends well and Colby ends up having to push Rainey into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Rainey swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Rainey tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Colby's elbow. Rainey misses with a body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Colby prevents a body shot from Rainey. Rainey is looking to control Colby's arms but Colby gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rainey has his back to the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Colby wants to take the fight to the mat but Rainey manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. The referee calls for Rainey to work.
Colby is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rainey pulls him back up using the underhooks.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Colby is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rainey is defending well. Rainey doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Colby looking for a takedown. Nice body punch from Rainey - that landed with a thud.
Rainey slows down the pace here.
Colby has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rainey avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Rainey has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Colby regains guard immediately.
Colby kicks Rainey off and gets to his feet. Colby fails with a takedown attempt. Colby has a takedown stuffed.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice jab there from Rainey. This has been an exciting period of action! Colby has a takedown stuffed. Colby shoots and misses and Rainey counters with a nice uppercut. Colby misses with a takedown and Colby takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Horrible takedown attempt by Colby or perhaps it was just good defense by Rainey, which made it look bad. Colby takes one to the side of the head.
Colby shoots and misses enabling Rainey to counter with a crisp jab. Rainey cracks Colby with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
 Colby is rocked! Colby takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Oh Colby is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Colby shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rainey scores with a counter punch that sends Colby to the canvas! Rainey smells blood - he's punishing Colby with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Colby has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marty Rainey! During a confident post fight interview, Marty Rainey thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
