And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vitaly Volkanov!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Branch throws a lazy uppercut
and Volkanov counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Branch takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Branch misses with a left hand
and Volkanov counters with a nice uppercut.
Branch scores with a jab to the body.
Volkanov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Branch.
Volkanov doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Branch misses with a right hand
and Volkanov counters with a nice low kick that buckles Branch's knee momentarily.
Volkanov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Volkanov has closed the distance and engaged Branch in a clinch.
Volkanov lands on the inside with an uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Branch wants to break the clinch but can't.
Volkanov lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Volkanov digs a right hand underneath Branch's ribcage. Branch let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Oh Branch is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Volkanov creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Branch with a big uppercut! Branch tries to clinch up but Volkanov pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Branch to the mat! Branch covers up and Volkanov unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
