Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anuwat Chaithong (ranked 5357 p4p, 5310 weight class) and Carlos Mendoza (ranked 439 p4p, 435 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Mendoza!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaithong sizes up Mendoza with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Chaithong jabs Mendoza to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Chaithong misses with a looping left.
Chaithong works Mendoza's body with a nice hook.
Chaithong throws a hook to the side of Mendoza's head but Mendoza sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Mendoza uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chaithong.
Mendoza's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Chaithong connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mendoza scrambles back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
