This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; The Doctor! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 7 losses; Mr Penn!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Doctor closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Penn has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Doctor jumps into guard, dragging Penn to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
