Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathanael McGuire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kareem Gallegos!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallegos connects with a single shot there.

Gallegos throws a lazy right hand but McGuire sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Gallegos throws a hook to the side of McGuire's head but McGuire sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McGuire scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Gallegos throws a nice looking combination but McGuire bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gallegos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGuire moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGuire's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gallegos connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McGuire scrambles back to his feet.
McGuire lands a nice hook to Gallegos's body. Gallegos takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Kareem Gallegos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGuire fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gallegos manages to avoid it.
Gallegos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McGuire sees it coming and avoids it easily.
McGuire appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

McGuire has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gallegos finds it's way round the side to connect with McGuire's head.
McGuire takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Oooooh!!! McGuire has knocked Gallegos down with a huge combo! McGuire steps away and waves a wobbly Gallegos back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

McGuire finds Gallegos's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Gallegos flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. McGuire lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Gallegos will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nathanael McGuire!
