Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Tannerman (ranked 1856 p4p, 1420 weight class) and Sigmund Salazar (ranked 229 p4p, 177 weight class). Tannerman comes to the cage accompanied by Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes. Tyler Tannerman could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sigmund Salazar's chin.

We've been hearing good reports from Tannerman's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Tannerman looks up at the clock and then as Salazar takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tannerman smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Tannerman is pushing down on Salazar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Salazar is fighting to maintain full guard but Tannerman has managed to sneak the leg through.
Tannerman wants to take a breather but Salazar is having none of it.
Tannerman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Salazar with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tannerman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Tannerman is trying to control. Salazar wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Well, if Tannerman is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Salazar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Salazar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tannerman tries to avoid it but Salazar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tannerman to the ground. Tannerman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tannerman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tannerman lands in his opponent's guard.

Tannerman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Tannerman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Salazar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tannerman has managed to get both his arms back between Salazar's legs - danger averted.
Tannerman arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Salazar's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tyler Tannerman!
