Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paxton Patterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Asahi Inoue!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inoue pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Patterson back to the cage. Inoue follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Paxton Patterson has been cut.
Inoue lands with an overhand left.
Inoue throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Patterson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Inoue tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Patterson manages to move to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Patterson is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Inoue swinging wildly here.
Patterson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Inoue on his heels. He'll look to pass Inoue's guard now, I'm sure.
Inoue can't keep his opponent in guard - Patterson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Inoue wants to get back to his feet.

Patterson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Patterson uses his free foot to push down on Inoue's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Inoue.
Inoue has left one of his arms exposed and Patterson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Inoue screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
