Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Stanton (ranked 4415 p4p, 2960 weight class) and Dariel Sosa (ranked 383 p4p, 295 weight class). Dariel Sosa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nate Stanton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dariel Sosa! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa has Stanton up against the ropes in a clinch.
Stanton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stanton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sosa sprawls well initially but Stanton persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sosa is not content to let Stanton control the position.
Stanton decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Stanton misses with a takedown attempt - Sosa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Stanton throws a right hand that misses
and Sosa counters with a one-two to the body. Sosa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Horrible takedown attempt by Stanton or perhaps it was just good defense by Sosa, which made it look bad. Sosa lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Sosa throws out a loose jab but Stanton uses good head movement to avoid it. Sosa lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stanton backs up against the ropes.
Stanton swats away the attempt to clinch by Sosa. Stanton wants to clinch. Sosa lands a jab-cross combination. Sosa pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Sosa with a nice cross. A lazy left from Sosa finds it's target. Stanton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sosa pinned against the ropes. Sosa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Stanton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Stanton shoots in but no luck this time. Sosa scores with a hook to the body. Stanton takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sosa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Sosa keeps the fight on the outside. Sosa just misses with a punch to the body.

Stanton throws a quick counter kick to the body but Sosa avoids it. Sosa has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Stanton is landing a low percentage of strikes. No luck for Stanton with that takedown attempt. Stanton tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Sosa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sloppy strikes from Sosa. Those never looked like landing. Stanton slips under a jab.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Stanton misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sosa is looking to clinch but Stanton is avoiding it.
Sosa looks to land a combination. Stanton sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
 Stanton is rocked! Sosa lands with a big right hook that stumbles Stanton - he's out on his feet here! Sosa follows up with another monster hook that separates Stanton from consciousness! Stanton falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Sosa stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dariel Sosa!
