Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kulma Rauta (ranked 34 p4p, 499 weight class) and Jack Cango (ranked 5 p4p, 63 weight class). Cango comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Into Action by Tim Armstrong kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Kulma Rauta has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kulma Rauta seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Kulma Rauta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Cango! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rauta connects with a nice looking jab.
We've been told by Rauta's head coaches at Ruttos gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A bone on bone clash there as Cango blocks the leg kick.
Cango gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cango has a couple of punches blocked by Rauta.
Cango manages to break the clinch.
Rauta lands a jab. Cango looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Rauta throws a body punch but Cango moves out of range. Cango is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Cango closes the distance and pushes Rauta back into the cage. Cango throws a head punch that misses. Rauta lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cango backwards. Come on Rauta - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Cango's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cango is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rauta appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Rauta swats away the attempt to clinch by Cango.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Rauta pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Rauta ducks under a wild hook from Cango. Rauta fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cango manages to avoid it. A looping hook to the body misses from Cango. Rauta does a little dance to reset his feet. Rauta misses with a left hand and Cango counters with a right hand to the body. Rauta swats away the attempt to clinch by Cango. Cango wants to clinch. and Rauta counters with a stiff right hand. Jack Cango seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rauta throws a nice inside leg kick. Cango tries to clinch there but Rauta circles away.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Cango tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rauta paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rauta was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

 It looks like Kulma Rauta has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cango lands a good knee to the midsection. Rauta won't want to take too many of those. Rauta misses with a short punch on the inside. Rauta misses with a hook to the ribs.

 Cango is rocked! Cango misses with a straight right. Rauta jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Cango smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Cango throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rauta sees it coming and avoids it easily. It looked like Rauta wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Cango misses with a body shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rauta throws a jab when Cango was well out of range. Rauta explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Rauta throws a hook but Cango avoids it easily. Cango keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rauta. Rauta moves out of range of the strikes. Rauta swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Cango cracks Rauta with a good jab. Rauta scores with a jab to the head.

That was a close round but I would say that Kulma Rauta will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kulma Rauta's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

A quick step to the side and Rauta tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Cango throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rauta stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Cango lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The fighters circling - Cango throws out the jab but it was never going to land. An attempted straight right counter from Rauta misses the target.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kulma Rauta. I think Rauta has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
