Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kason Neal (ranked 2027 p4p, 3916 weight class) and Leone Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leone Santos will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kason Neal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leone Santos! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neal closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Santos to the mat! Santos manages to get full guard.
Santos has his foot on Neal's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Neal works his way back into a safe position though.

Neal controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neal postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Santos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Neal, into his guard.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Neal seems keen to control Santos's posture.
Santos has gone for a leg lock! Neal slips out almost immediately though and dives into Santos's guard.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Neal trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Neal darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Neal is trying to control. Santos wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Neal pulls his head out easily.
Santos actively working from the bottom here. Neal with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Neal is thwarting Santos's attempts to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Neal is looking to take a break and control but Santos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Neal looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Neal showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Neal looking to sit in guard and control but Santos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Santos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Neal looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Neal looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Neal!

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neal trying to control the action but Santos is working from the bottom.
Neal is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Santos has escaped the position, nice work there. Neal looking to control but instead Santos has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Neal is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Neal wants to take a breather but Santos is having none of it.
Neal seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Santos has recovered full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Neal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. And that is the end of the round. Leone Santos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Neal shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Santos pinned against the cage. Santos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Neal is defended easily by Santos. Santos misses with a series of wild punches.
Kason Neal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Santos stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kason Neal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Neal fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Santos. Neal wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Neal dives in and grabs Santos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Santos pushes down on Neal's head and hops out. Neal shoots in for a takedown but Santos shows good takedown defense. Neal dives in for a single leg takedown but Santos sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Santos jumps guard but Neal stands there with Santos around his waist. Santos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Leone Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Santos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
