Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derick Brandt (ranked 25107 p4p, 3985 weight class) and Grandissimus Gaimaras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is New Authentic - Time. Brandt is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Grandissimus Gaimaras will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Derick Brandt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Grandissimus Gaimaras!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaimaras closes the distance and clinches.
Brandt is breathing heavily.
Brandt gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Gaimaras is looking to control Brandt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gaimaras avoid being mounted?
Gaimaras slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Brandt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gaimaras is trying to keep Brandt in close.
Gaimaras is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gaimaras works his way into full mount!
Gaimaras throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Brandt because Gaimaras loaded up on that one.
Gaimaras trying to control but Brandt is having none of it.

Brandt is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Brandt is squirming around, avoiding Gaimaras's attempts to control the action.
Gaimaras throwing strikes here but Brandt is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Gaimaras is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gaimaras trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Poor strikes thrown by Gaimaras there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Gaimaras sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Brandt on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brandt tries to get out of the position.
Gaimaras can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brandt is looking to escape.

Gaimaras is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Grandissimus Gaimaras seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gaimaras manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Brandt on his heels. He'll look to pass Brandt's guard now, I'm sure.
Brandt wants to get back to his feet but Gaimaras passes into half guard.
Brandt looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gaimaras in particular looking to stall.
Gaimaras not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Gaimaras works his way into side control.
Gaimaras has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gaimaras creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Brandt sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Gaimaras tries to advance to mount but Brandt denies him.
Gaimaras has an Americana. Brandt didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gaimaras is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gaimaras hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
