Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zanshin Killer (ranked 4212 p4p, 3212 weight class) and Daniel Kent (ranked 397 p4p, 337 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Zanshin Killer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Kent!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Killer.

It looks like Daniel Kent has been cut.
A low kick lands for Kent.
Kent throws a series of punches but Killer moves out of range.

Kent instigates a clinch.
Killer scores with a nice hook to the head.

Killer breaks from the clinch.
Killer lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kent tries to clinch up.
Kent wants to clinch.
A low kick from Kent is predictable there
and Killer counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kent gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Killer.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kent throws a sloppy head kick and Killer moves out of range easily.
Kent walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kent walks into a left hand.

That has opened up Daniel Kent's cut even more.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Killer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Killer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kent wants to control from the top but Killer keeps moving.
Killer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kent on the ground.
Killer is pulling down on Kent's head. It's preventing any offense from Kent, at least for the moment.
Kent seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
It looks like Kent might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Killer can't keep his opponent in guard - Kent advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kent wants to take a breather but Killer is having none of it.
Kent seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Killer is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kent scores with a couple of nice shots.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kent in particular looking to stall.

Kent is looking for a kimura here.
Killer wants to control but Kent passes into side.
Killer is trying to control Kent's posture but Kent avoids it.

Kent looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kent trying to control the action but Killer is working from the bottom.
Kent might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Killer haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Killer is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kent connects with a decent elbow.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Kent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Killer keeps working.
Killer is trying to improve his position.
Killer dodges the ground and pound from Kent.
The referee asks Kent politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kent prefers to stall for the moment though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kent.
Killer throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
Kent on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kent shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Killer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Killer lands a leg kick that knocks Kent off balance momentarily.
Kent misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
As Kent backs away, Killer returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Killer throws a head kick but Kent moves out of range.
Kent fails with a takedown attempt.
Killer swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Zanshin Killer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Kent.
Kent on the wrong end of a nice hook.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
A nice leg kick from Killer, right into the meat of the thigh.
Zanshin Killer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Killer scores with a hook to the body. Kent takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Killer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kent attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Kent has a takedown stuffed.
Killer appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Killer scores with a nice right hand.
Kent closes this distance looking for a takedown but Killer circles away.
Crunch! Killer slams his shin into Kent's torso.
Kent looks winded!
Kent takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Daniel Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kent swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Killer counters with a nice body kick.
Killer lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
Killer with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Killer connects with a crisp jab.

The cut above Daniel Kent's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Killer scores with a kick to the midsection.
Killer with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Killer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Kent ducks right into an uppercut from Killer.

Kent is rocked!
Killer is looking to slow Kent down with leg kicks.
Kent is still on wobbly legs! Can Killer finish him?
Kent gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Killer gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Kent is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zanshin Killer!
