Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Morgan Wood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pete Jokinen!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokinen tries to land a front kick but Wood steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Jokinen catches Wood with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Morgan Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wood throws the left hand but Jokinen avoids the punch easily.
Wood throws an overhand right that lands on Jokinen's shoulder, as Jokinen tries to avoid the shot.
Wood darts in trying to clinch
and Jokinen counters with a solid body kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Wood misses the target.
Decent striking displayed by Wood there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jokinen lands with a right hand.
Wood connects with a jab.
Jokinen scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Wood tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jokinen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Jokinen counters with a nice uppercut.
Wood looks to land a right hand but Jokinen moved out of range.
Jokinen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wood's head.
Jokinen throws a hook but Wood avoids it easily.
Jokinen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Pete Jokinen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jokinen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jokinen slips under a jab from Wood.
Wood stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jokinen.
Jokinen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Nice sprawl there from Jokinen as Wood shoots in.
Jokinen lands with an overhand left.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wood.

Jokinen lunges at Wood with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wood's hand.
Wood shoots for a takedown but Jokinen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Morgan Wood. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wood tries to move into range but Jokinen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

and Jokinen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wood is breathing heavily.
Jokinen catches Wood with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wood is rocked!
Wood looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Wood gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jokinen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Oh Wood is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wood is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Jokinen flashes Wood a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Wood's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Wood crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Jokinen punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
