Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keanu Marlin (ranked 662 p4p, 785 weight class) and Patrick Van Kerckhoven (ranked 92 p4p, 102 weight class). Van Kerckhoven has chosen Neo Cortex - Elements (Daniel Cain Remix) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Van Kerckhoven!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marlin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A little feinted left hand from Marlin on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Marlin moves out of range of the body kick.
Marlin takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Marlin throws a body punch but Van Kerckhoven moves out of range.
Van Kerckhoven throws out a counter right but Marlin avoids it with no problem.
Marlin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Van Kerckhoven.

Van Kerckhoven is trying to counter with his kicks.

Van Kerckhoven thuds his right hand into Marlin's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Van Kerckhoven cracks Marlin with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Van Kerckhoven has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Marlin to stand back up!

Marlin throws a hook but Van Kerckhoven avoids it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Van Kerckhoven! But no joy.

Marlin gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Van Kerckhoven gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Marlin is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 9:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Van Kerckhoven!
