Slice comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Put Up Or Shut Up kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Gerard Messing could well score a knockout today. And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimbino Slice!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice throws a shot from downtown. Messing moves away and avoids it.
Messing misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Slice.
Slice slips under a jab from Messing.
Messing throws a hook but Slice blocks it.
Slice throws the left hand but Messing avoids the punch easily.
Slice blocks a jab.
Slice dips to his left and cracks Messing with an uppercut!
Slice misses with a body shot.
Messing checks a leg kick.
Slice has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Messing is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Slice swings for the body but Messing moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slice tries to close the distance and clinch up but Messing swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Messing shoots in and gets a takedown into Slice's guard.
Messing engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Messing postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Messing trying to control but Slice is working from the bottom.
Messing not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Messing stands up over Slice, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Slice really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Messing. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Slice throws out a loose jab but Messing uses good head movement to avoid it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Messing has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Messing moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Messing is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Slice knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Messing has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Slice is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Messing yanks on the arm and Slice is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Messing.

Gerard Messing spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
