Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sherpov Gelovkin (ranked 2523 p4p, 23222 weight class) and Higanti Libat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gelovkin closes the distance and clinches up with Libat, looking for a takedown. Gelovkin pushes Libat against the cage but Libat circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gelovkin or perhaps it was just good defense by Libat, which made it look bad.
Gelovkin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Libat gets caught napping as Gelovkin dives in and scores a takedown. Libat manages to retain guard.
Gelovkin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gelovkin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gelovkin drops back looking for a leg! Libat is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Libat manages to kick Gelovkin off! Gelovkin jumps back into Libat's guard.
Gelovkin advances to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gelovkin is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gelovkin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Libat defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gelovkin maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Libat could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gelovkin has cracked it and Libat is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gelovkin!
